Black Myth Wukong Chapter 6 Guide

In Black Myth: Wukong, Chapter 6 guide is where the real challenge begins, with over 90 bosses to defeat. While Chapter 6 isn’t a secret area itself, you can unlock it through Chapter 3, Mount Mei—a hidden area that provides access to this challenging chapter.

To reach Chapter 6, start by exploring Mount Mei in Chapter 3, where you’ll uncover the path to this elusive section of the game. Once there, you’ll face each chapter’s final bosses, testing your skills and strategies.

However, these secret locations aren’t accessible until you reach the end of the game, adding an extra layer of mystery and challenge to your journey.

Black Myth: Wukong Secret Area: Mount Mei

Unlocking the secret area at Mount Mei in Black Myth: Wukong is a rewarding challenge that involves battling bosses across different chapters. Here’s how to navigate your way to this hidden location:

  • Start at the North Shore of the Bitter Lake
    • Begin by moving down the hill until you encounter giant skeletons. Keep following the water surface until you reach a red gate on the coast.
    • Cross the gate and engage with the NPC Treasure Hunter, who is surrounded by three Yaoguai enemies. Defeat these enemies and talk to the NPC to progress further.
  • Finding the Secret Area
    • After interacting with the NPC, head toward the Tower of Karma in the Valley of Ecstasy. Sometimes, you may need to venture near the Forest of Felicity to reach the Tower of Karma.
    • If unsuccessful, follow the path and cross both the first and second gates.
    • When you reach the third gate, avoid entering it. Instead, turn left and follow the downward slope to find the fourth wooden gate. Pass through this gate and take the downward stairs, leading you toward the Tower of Karma.
  • Reaching the Ring of Fire
    • Once you arrive at the Ring of Fire, turn in the opposite direction and begin walking until you encounter the Treasure Hunter NPC.
    • The NPC will be sitting under a tree on your right, casting the Ring of Fire to warm up the Treasure Hunter. Continue progressing from here.
  • Return to the Forest of Felicity
    • After interacting with the NPC, return to the Forest of Felicity in the Valley of Ecstasy. Walk toward the wooden gate, but turn before reaching it.
    • Follow the path that slopes downward until you reach a large pillar. From there, descend the stairs and cross the pool.
      • After crossing the pool, turn left and walk ahead until you reach an enemy standing near the cliff. Use the rock extending from the side of the cliff to reach the Melon Field.
  • Conquering the Melon Field:
    • Battle the Green-Capped Martialist Boss in the Melon Field. Once defeated, move toward the Great Pagoda. Travel through the Pagoda Realm via the Snow-Veiled Trail.
  • Final Steps to the Secret Location
    • Follow the snowy path and cross the wooden bridge. Continue straight down the same path until you go through the wall and reach the Great Pagoda.
    • As you approach the Buddha statue at the top, take a left and start climbing the stairs. Eventually, you’ll encounter a small boy NPC. Engage with him, and he will lead you toward Melon Garden.
    • The boy will talk with you for some time and then open a wall. After crossing the wall, you’ll finally reach the Snowy Mountain area, where the secret location is hidden.

Black Myth: Wukong-Feng-Tail General Boss Battle

The Feng-Tail General is a massive beetle boss found in Mount Huaguo. Defeating this formidable foe rewards you with the mythical Monkey Heaven’s Equal Armour Set. Here’s how to tackle this gargantuan insect:

  • Location and Spawn Details
    • The Feng-Tail General spawns at the western part of Mount Huaguo, near the marshlands and the edge of a large lake. The closest fast travel point is the Mantis-Catching Swamp Shrine.
    • From the spawn point, the mantis will repeatedly jump across multiple areas, moving from west to east. Once it reaches the eastern edge of the map, it will respawn in the western area again.
  • Battle Strategy
    • Unlike traditional boss fights, this encounter requires you to use the Somersault Cloud to land on top of the Feng-Tail General. This triggers a QTE (Quick Time Event) sequence.
    • During the fight, keep an eye on your stamina, health, and burn resistance. Several items can help improve your chances, such as Celestial Pills (HP/Mana/Stamina upgrades) and drinks like Tonifying Decoction, Body-Fleeting Powder, and Ascension Powder.
  • Using the Fireproof Mantle
    • The Fireproof Mantle is an essential item for this battle, offering +600 burn resistance. Activate it by pressing the “T” key to gain a significant boost to your burn resistance, making you nearly immune to damage.
    • As you progress, you’ll need to fly toward the Feng-Tail General’s spawn point. Dismount, land back and press the button prompt while you’re on its head. Hold the button as the giant beetle jumps three times, which gradually drains your stamina.
  • Surviving the QTE
    • If your stamina runs out or you let go of the button, your character will fall. Stay focused during the QTE sequence, especially when the beetle nears the end of its predetermined path. It will jump through an invisible wall at the edge of the map, helping you start the sequence near its spawning grounds.
    • If successful, you’ll nullify the damage, and the Feng-Tail General will jump three more times before stopping. Press the button prompt again to continue the sequence.
  • Final Rewards:
    • After taming the Feng-Tail General, you’ll obtain the Golden Feng-Tail Crown headgear, which grants +30 maximum mana and +60 defense. Additionally, you’ll acquire the full Mythical Armour Set and the Jingbang Staff.
