You can unlock the Gold Sun Crown in Chapter 4 near the Scorpionlord boss. Start by choosing the bridge directly opposite the shrine, then follow the path until you encounter the Snake around a large fallen tree.
Simply climb the tree until you reach the clifftop, where you’ll find the curio in a chest. From there, you can cross the rope bridge to open the chest.
